Paradise Is Calling

Pool water can wreak havoc on blonde hair and highlights. Proper preventive measures will keep your locks from turning green. Before taking a dip, call room service and order a side of olive oil, then slather your hair from root to tip.

For instant pain relief, soak a towel in a bucket of equal parts milk, water and ice, then wring it out and press it gently onto sunburns. You'll feel better in minutes, but make sure to slather on the SPF before stepping back outside.

Between the plane ride and dehydrating ocean salt water, your lips are sure to dry out. Mix up a small batch of sugar, honey and olive oil and gently slough off the dead skin. The blend of antioxidants, vitamins and proteins will make your pout feel soft and smooth again. Load up on the lip balm and drink plenty of water to rehydrate.

Unsightly bumps have a way of showing up at the worst times (like the day you decide to brave a bathing suit). Oatmeal has anti-inflammatory and soothing properties that work wonders for an irritated bikini line. Mix ground oatmeal and plain yogurt into a paste, apply it to the affected area and let it sit 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water and slip into your two-piece.

You don't want red, itchy, swollen bumps all over your legs when you're wearing your favorite miniskirt. If you get attacked by mosquitos on vacation, crush one or two aspirin with a spoon and add a couple drops of water to form a paste. Apply it to the bites to soothe irritation and reduce swelling.

If you picked a hot, humid destination, frizz levels will be through the roof. Since we know you wouldn't travel to such a place without a trusted makeup primer, rub a small amount of the product from mid-shaft to ends. The silicone will keep your hair smooth all day long.
