Prada Is Bringing Back This Classic Haircut, And It’s Perfect For Next Season

by Samantha McDonald

While everyone is still doting on the lobs recently spotted on celebrities like Emily Blunt and Emma Roberts, a new hair trend is surfacing, and it’s one we remember from the early days. Backstage in the Fondazione Prada, the designer and hairstylist Guido Palau transformed six models’ lengthy tresses into blunt, ear-length bobs that recalled the style of the ’20s. The decision to chop off their locks came after one model arrived at the hair and makeup test with the cut, which Guido compared to that of English writer Virginia Woolf. With all the extravagant hairstyles we’re seeing on the runway this season, the bob is one way we can go back to basics and appreciate the beauty of simplicity.
