by Stephanie Montes

We’re used to red-carpet goers stepping out in perfectly primped hair and flawless, dewy skin. In other words, it’s not often when our favorite actresses try something completely out of the box—and when they do, we take notice. Tonight, Sophia Bush hit the SAG Awards carpet in a bold, pink smoky eye, purple eyeliner and a glossy lip. Her makeup artist, Patrick Ta, took to Instagram to share some of the products he used to get the look. Read on to learn how to get the look—no glam squad needed.

Foundation:

Patrick Ta revealed on his Instagram that he used this foundation to give Sophia a hydrated and flawless complexion. Apply with a fluffy foundation brush in circular motions to buff the product in—and as always, don't forget the neck.

Eye Shadow:

Sophia really went for it with this fuchsia eye—we love this bright pink shade from Urban Decay. Pack on the color with a flat shadow brush from the upper lash line up to the crease. Then, use a fluffy shadow brush to blend the color up to the brow bone. Lastly, use a smudge brush to add more pink on the lower lash line.

Eyeliner:

To really take your eye-shadow game to the next level, line the lower lash line with a purple eyeliner—we suggest this one from Make Up For Ever. This will give your tonal makeup look just the right amount of dimension. Curl your lashes and add your favorite black mascara to make your eyes pop.

Blush:

To add some color to Sophia's complexion, Patrick Ta used this Chanel shade on the apples of her cheeks.

Lipstick:

To finish the look, Patrick topped off the lip with a glossy nude lipstick. With such a bold eye, it's always a wise choice to keep the lips subtle.
