Ah, we love a good beauty hack. Free beauty hacks, that is. Thanks to the innovative (and very vocal) community of beauty junkies out there, we are constantly kept in the know on the latest beauty tricks that won't break the bank—or cost anything at all. Okay, maybe these aren't entirely free, but you get the hint. Here, we round up our favorite at-home beauty hacks that we can accomplish with items we already own. Get creative.

If you have a broken nail, there's no need to freak out. Simply take the fabric from an unused tea bag and place it onto the broken area of your nail bed. Proceed to cut it into your nail shape, add some top coat to harden it and file it down.

Our eyeliners and lip liners can often fall victim to breakage and even melting. Pop them into the freezer for 15 minutes once you notice them crumbling and you'll be good to apply them again in no time.

Lipstick As Blush

Rather than buying a brand new cream, powder or liquid blush, just go ahead and use your favorite pink lipstick. Simply rub some onto your fingertips and dab across the apples of your cheeks to add a natural flush.

The art class staple you used on the regular in elementary school can take your brows to new heights. Simply use a white or clear glue stick to swipe lightly on your brows and comb them out for a soft, feathery look.

This obviously isn't recommended to be done often, but sometimes you have to work with what you've got. If you're short on pore strips, let a thin layer of Elmer's glue dry on your nose, then peel it off. You'll get any blackheads out from under in no time.

A Spoon For Your Cat Eye

There's a lot of back and forth on what tools you can use to get the perfect cat eye. In our opinion, a spoon is the most efficient. Simply place a spoon where you would draw a line, and trace with your eyeliner.

If you're running low on shampoo or want a natural cleansing remedy, baking soda is the way to go. Mix in a tablespoon of baking soda with water to form a paste and rinse, lather and repeat as usual.

Baking soda is also ideal for whitening your teeth. Again, mix a tablespoon with water to form a paste, apply it to your toothbrush and brush as usual.

Nothing kills a lipstick look like dry, flaky lips. Take a washcloth with warm water and gently rub it on your lips, then watch the dead skin particles come right off.
