Terra-Cotta Cheeks "Glowy and glossy blush textures are big, so opt for a cream or gel. Terra-cotta will be an unexpectedly popular shade among the usual pinks and corals this year."

Less Contouring "Overly contoured faces and intensely highlighted skin have dominated the beauty scene, but we're seeing a backlash—a return to natural. Now it's about how we can use contouring and highlighting subtly, to make us look like ourselves."

Statement Lips "Bright red lips are bigger than ever. The key is to keep the color a true primary red and experiment with finishes, from satin to matte to lacquered shine."

Bold Lips "2016 is about lips, lips and more lips. The entire look entails flawless skin, wide-eyed lashes and a beautiful, bold lip. That combo is absolutely killer."

Metallic Makeup "Vivid pops of metallic will be strong this year. What better way to wake up winter skin than by adding gold to lips or eyes? For the ultimate allure, pair it with nude or light pink—think golden lids with a nude lip."

Smart Makeup Packaging "This is the year of the #GirlBoss. Invest in key products that can easily transition from morning conferences to evening networking events. I recommend the new Dolce & Gabbana Beauty Voyage Palette for an array of looks right at your fingertips."

Sweet Cheeks "I predict soft, baby-doll-pink cheeks for a romantic glow. Seek delicate pink pigments to master the innocence. Highlight cheekbones and add depth and contour with Dolce & Gabbana Luminous Cheek Color in Rosebud."

No-Makeup Makeup "Dual-function convenience products are going to be everywhere this year. We'll see new designs that focus on multiple benefits—perfect for getting the sought-after no-makeup makeup look."

Glossy Lips “Matte is still around, but you'll see much more of a lacquered, high-shine lip in vibrant red or burgundy. I call it the Uptown Lip!"
