Sarah Jessica Parker Is The Only Celeb Perfumer We Trust

by Jessica Amento

In general, we are skeptical of celebrity perfumes. The market is a crowded one, and rife with cheesy, overpowering scents that find wearers rubbing their eyes and reaching for the tissue box. However, Sarah Jessica Parker is a rare exception in the arena. The actress brought us her debut fragrance Lovely over ten years ago, and the floral-woodsy concoction seems to perfectly encapsulate her luxurious, versatile style. Still a mainstay atop many vanities, Lovely now has competition in the form of Parker’s latest: Stash. Out tomorrow, the new unisex perfume promises a more masculine base of libanum, massoia wood, vetiver and musk for a borrowed-from-your-boyfriend effect. Or as Parker puts it, “It’s old and sexy, like a sweater from a guy who was on the Eurorail too long or something.” Consider us sold! Run don’t walk to get your hands on a bottle — it’s a consummate kickoff to your forthcoming fall uniform.
