This Trendy Beauty Tool Is Officially Makeup Artist-Approved

Back in November, we shared our discovery of a silicone sponge that was breaking the Internet because of how untraditional it was. Today, the innovative makeup applicator has made its way stateside, and it just officially got a stamp of approval from celebrity makeup artist Pati Dubroff.

Pati was the mastermind behind Natalie Portman’s look at the 2017 SAG Awards, and she used a new version of the silicone applicator, the MakeupDrop, to give the star a radiant finish. Natalie looked stunning on the red carpet, proof that this tool actually lives up to the hype. In a video on Instagram, Pati explained that while she is a fan of a classic sponge, this product surprised her because it neither absorbs much product nor is difficult to clean.

We’re sure you’ll see a lot more of these silicone applicators popping up on the market, and you can grab the same one used on Natalie for just $20.
