How To Give Yourself A Spa-Worthy Facial At Home

by Andrea Marie

Pampering sessions are the most relaxing and invigorating treats for beauty junkies. Unfortunately, not everyone has the time or budget to head to the spa whenever they please. The great thing is you can give yourself a DIY facial in the comfort of your own home if you plan your regimen carefully. Here, seven steps (and products) we rely on when it’s time to unwind and treat our skin to some TLC.

Treat Yourself

Cleanse Thoroughly

Start off by removing oils and excess buildup that could be lingering on the skin.

Gently Exfoliate

Rid your complexion of dead skin and dry flakes, leaving it evenly textured. Use gentle motions to avoid irritation.

Unclog Your Pores

Draw out impurities beneath the surface with a face mask. Keep it on for about 10 minutes and then rinse off.

De-Puff Your Eyes

An eye mask can help diminish the appearance of dark circles and reduce puffiness. Refrigerate the mask before using, as the cool factor will increase its benefits.

Tone It Up

Control excess oil production and reduce the appearance of pores with a toner. Apply it to a cotton pad and onto your freshly cleansed skin.

Target Blemishes

Breakouts need individual attention. Use only a dime-size amount of product to avoid drying out surrounding skin.

Seal With Moisture

Keep skin hydrated by concluding your pampering session with a moisturizing cream. Apply all the way down to the neck.
