Grace Coddington Is Stepping Down At Vogue

It seems as if fashion industry is experiencing an endless shakeup as Grace Coddington, the inimitable Creative Director of Vogue, is stepping down after almost 30 years. The former model and legendary stylist will continue to work for the magazine on contract, assuming the role of Creative Director At Large, committed to producing a minimum of four editorial spreads a year. This new arrangement will allow the icon to work on external projects and new collaborations for the first time since 1988 —including an upcoming fragrance with Comme des Garçons—but remain a creative voice at Vogue, retaining an office and an assistant on site. But don’t expect Coddington to be sitting at home with her famous cats, as she will now be represented by the esteemed agency, Great Bowery (which represents Bruce Weber and Annie Leibovitz), leading to what we can only assume will be many exciting projects from the famed fashion creative. While the breaking news is startling, we’re certain the legend will continue to lend her fantastical visions to the industry because as we all know, Grace has most definitely got it.
