The Surprising Thing Kate Middleton And Prince William Don’t Allow In Their Home

Kate Middleton and Prince William lead very different lives from the rest of us lowly humans, but they also happen to be surprisingly relatable at times—from shopping at affordable go-to fashion destinations to recruiting for jobs via LinkedIn. And while their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, are third and fourth in line for the throne, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are trying to bring them up in as normal an environment as possible (palace notwithstanding). In fact, like many other moms and dads of this generation, they feel the pull to give their kids a simpler childhood that harks back to their own. According to a source, Kate and Will have even banned one potentially addictive item from their home—iPads—encouraging toys, outdoor activities and imaginative play rather than staring at screens. Very much a typical family, no? Well, typical with the exception of the royal heirlooms and the lofty vocabulary, of course.
