Stella McCartney, Lena Dunham & More Celebrate H.E.A.R.T Charity In L.A.
This week, designer Stella McCartney co-hosted the annual H.E.A.R.T brunch in LA, which supports the Violence Intervention Program (VIP), the largest child-abuse clinic in the country. The star-studded event took place in the home of interior designer Molly Isaksen Sures, and drew appearances from Maria Shriver, Lena Dunham, Erin Foster, Kate and Jessica Capshaw, Jenni Kayne, Anita Ko and more. After VIP Founder, Dr. Astrid Heger, gave a keynote speech, McCartney spoke about taking her daughters to the VIP center and told the crowd that her aim in doing so was not to make them feel guilty for the privileges to which they were born but rather to make them aware of the power they possess to help. The speeches then wrapped with one by H.E.A.R.T founder Eve Somer Gerber, after which there was shopping—a pop-up provided by McCartney, from which a portion of the proceeds would be donated to the cause—and catering from LA-favorite Gjusta.
