Why Chloë Grace Moretz Doesn’t Believe In Girl Squads

by Stephanie Montes

It’s unclear as to whether the invitation to Taylor Swift‘s squad comes postmarked or happens at a roundtable Godfather style, but it clearly doesn’t make much of a difference to Chloë Grace Moretz. When the 19-year-old actress was asked to be a part of the enviable clique, she politely declined. While Chloë describes Taylor as “a very talented person” in her interview with Complex magazine, she doesn’t mince words when it comes to her stance on equality and inclusion, saying of squads: “They appropriate exclusivity. They’re cliques!” The independent starlet went on to explain what feminism means to her: “It’s about equality—and it’s not just about women being powerful. It’s about races being powerful; genders being powerful.” We love a girl who stands up for her beliefs.

What do you think of Chloë’s decision? Let us know in the comments below.
