Apple To Gift Us All An Extra Hour Of Sleep

Since we are all bonafide technology addicts and can’t simply turn off our devices at night, Apple has developed a new feature called Night Shift to protect us from ourselves by eliminating the sleep-depleting blue light those devices emit. The feature, which will be released with the forthcoming iOS3 update to Apple’s mobile operating system, will automatically change the color of light coming from our iPad or iPhone screens as soon as it becomes dark outside. Experts say we lose on average one hour of sleep per night due to this circadian-rhythm-disrupter, which Night Shift will hopefully help us to reclaim. No word on whether this feature will also shield us from staying up all night rabbit-holing into the dark recesses of our ex-boyfriends’ tagged photos, but we get the feeling that bad behavior is still on us to police.
