The One Thing Demi Lovato Does Every Day To Boost Her Confidence

A quick scroll through Demi Lovato’s social media accounts is proof she’s all about a healthy lifestyle and a healthy body. Many of her posts invoke the message of her latest single—she’s not sorry for her opinions, for her body, for being confident. So it’s no surprise her first collection with Fabletics was such a hit when it launched earlier this summer; it had a strong body-positive intention, featured a wide range of sizes and its campaign felt refreshingly real (and the clothes were, of course, amazing).

The multi-hyphenate’s second Demi Lovato For Fabletics collection launches today, and her inclusive message remains in full force. “Body positivity means feeling comfortable in the skin that you’re in, and I want to do everything possible to help people achieve that,” she tells us. Enter this collection: It features 12 outfits, all made from flattering performance fabrics, in sizes XS to 3X and a color palette of magenta, bright blue, black and white. (Demi name-checks the Romina Sports Bra and the Jordana High-Waisted Leggings as favorites.)

The clothes are enough to inspire a trip to the gym, but Demi also shares that she stays motivated to work out by remembering how she feels afterward: “It’s the best gift in the world.” She says the first thing she does every morning is put on her workout clothes. Speaking from experience, being dressed for the gym is a good motivator to actually go to the gym.

But just because she’s a confident badass who likes to work out doesn’t mean she doesn’t struggle with insecurities. “You have to tell yourself that you’re beautiful, even if you don’t believe it,” she says. “And sometimes it’s hard to do, but when you get into the habit, you learn that you really are beautiful, and it becomes second nature.”
