If there’s any indication we can expect a royal engagement in the (very) near future, this latest report certainly takes the (wedding) cake: According to a source who spoke to the Daily Mail—take that as you will—Meghan Markle and Prince Harry spent a full hour with Queen Elizabeth last week for an afternoon tea that has the internet aflutter with talks of nuptials. Why, it’s just tea, you ask? Well, should the news be true, not only would it mark the second time Meghan and Her Majesty have come face to royal face, but it may also be a sign that perhaps the monarch has taken a liking to the actress. (After all, we know just how much she enjoys her precious teatime.) The milestone meet reportedly took place in her private sitting room on the first floor of Buckingham Palace at around 5pm, which is rumored to be the Queen’s favorite part of the day. We’re not saying the royal wedding planning is in the works, but … *sips tea*.
