This Is How Much Pippa Middleton’s Wedding Might Cost
Just because it's not technically a royal wedding doesn't mean Pippa Middleton's upcoming nuptials will be any less majestic. In fact, a UK-based wedding planning service just broke down potential expenses for the May 20 affair, estimating a budget that could be more than 15 times that of the average wedding.
The app analyzed 170,000 weddings and reviewed 70,000 wedding industry suppliers' price points. At about $319,049 (or £246,949), the estimate considers all elements of the wedding. The gown, which is rumored to be designed by Giles Deacon, factors in at $12,912, with the veil at $2,584, on top of hair and makeup at $21,960 (expect Hannah Martin of Bobbi Brown, and Richard Ward, who prepped Kate's wedding look).
Add that to husband-to-be James Matthews' Savile Row suit, the $84,000 venue (despite being hosted at the family home), catering, decor, videography, entertainment, facility fees and a possible $3,360 six-tier cake. Oh, and don't forget invitations, wedding favors and church fees—as well as rings: Hers is a diamond-encrusted Cartier, and his is a platinum band. (Phew.)
While that's one heck of a sum, it'll still most likely pale in comparison to sister and Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton's wedding to Prince William, which reportedly rang up at more than $30 million. It's not easy being a royal.
