She’s already widely recognized as a fashion icon, but this time Kate Middleton is taking after another style supreme: Princess Diana. At the Buckingham Palace’s annual Diplomatic Reception, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge appeared alongside Queen Elizabeth II and the rest of the royal family looking divinely festive. But what really captured our attention was Kate’s headpiece, which belonged to the Princess of Wales herself. Called the Cambridge Lover’s Knot, the tiara happened to be one of Diana’s favorites and remains among the most well-known in the British royal family’s collection. Like her late mother-in-law, Kate is a fan of the crown jewel, having also worn it at last year’s Diplomatic Reception. (This marks only the fifth time she’s been seen in a tiara.) She truly makes one gorgeous lady in red.
