Kate Middleton’s Most Recent Look Is Surprisingly Daring

by Nicky Deam

In case you need yet more proof that Kate Middleton is in fact irritatingly perfect (we know you don’t), she stepped out in a white Self Portrait gown for a November premiere in London looking flawless. White dresses are typically reserved for weddings and the height of summer, yet she somehow made it look completely appropriate for both the event and the season. Even more surprising was the thigh-high slit in said gown, which we know made the Queen bristle. To recap, all signs point to this being a bad sartorial situation but she emerges triumphant proving that fashion rules—whether bestowed on us by season or British royalty—are made to be broken. (And that she is irritatingly perfect). Follow the Duchess’ lead and scoop up a lacy white confection of any length to pair with somber accessories and glossy hair this winter for equally glamorous results.
