Although she’s approaching her last few months as First Lady, Michelle Obama is not leaving fashion’s best-dressed lists anytime soon. From the white chiffon Jason Wu gown she wore at her husband’s inauguration to the tangerine Narciso Rodriguez sheath she donned at his last State of the Union address, our FLOTUS always steps out looking immaculate. Today on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she appeared in an Old World map dress from Alessandro Michele for Gucci’s Spring 2016 collection, marking her first time wearing a piece by the designer. Instead of city names, the dress was printed with words like “Sensibility,” “Obedience” and “Sincerity,” with a trompe l’oeil empire waist and a sequined neckline. Michelle plus Gucci is a match made in fashion heaven, and we hope to see more of it this season.
