Awards season is a time to celebrate excellence in film, television and music, but of course inevitably becomes all about the red-carpet fashion (a spectator sport for many). For Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia of Monse, this time of year is far and away the busiest, from showing at New York Fashion Week to outfitting A-listers for the awards circuit. Here, the duo talks designing for the runway versus the red carpet, their celebrity clientele (Jessica Biel, Selena Gomez, et al.) and what they learned from the late Oscar de la Renta.
