Why October Is So Important To Rachel Zoe

The arrival of October means many things: Fashion Month is finally over—and yes, it’s fabulous but beyond exhausting—the leaves are beginning to turn (not necessarily in LA but somewhere), and it’s finally time to break out my favorite fashion subject: outerwear! Having just returned from Paris Fashion Week, I’ve grown even more excited to jump into my favorite fall staples of sky-high boots, oversized knits and yummy textures like tweed and leather. This month, there will be major coverage on The Zoe Report of what to wear as the temperature drops.

As obsessed as I am with fashion, there’s nothing in this world more precious than family. If you’re not already aware, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. As I’ve mentioned on many occasions, a countless amount of my friends and family have been affected by breast cancer. My sister Pamela, my mother and grandmother are all recent survivors, which is one of the many reasons why October and BCA Month are so important to me. I’m beyond honored to cohost with Jennifer Garner this month’s 10th Annual Pink Party to benefit Cedars-Sinai Women’s Cancer Program. There is truly no cause more important to me, so you will also see plenty of BCA coverage here on The Zoe Report. We’ll be tracking down all of the chicest products that give back as well as paying homage to the color pink throughout October.

So this month, as with all months, remember to be thankful for the ones you love and to make a point to do what you can to support all that BCA stands for. And of course, look forward to everything else that October has in store: Halloween dressing, the launch of our major home and lifestyle vertical, fall shopping and great outerwear sure to get you in the mood to bundle up.

XO, Rachel Zoe
