A Change of Sweater

by The Zoe Report

How many of us have old sweaters in storage or the back of our closets that never see the light of day? It is always cool to donate them to Goodwill or The Salvation Army, but if there is a particular knit you never wear and simply cannot bear to part with—maybe because it holds sentimental value or is your favorite color—why not turn it into something else? Like a scarf!

In fact, one of my latest Internet discoveries, Reknit, will do it for you. Just send them your neglected sweater and voilà, a hand-made scarf will miraculously appear at your door in 7-10 business days, ready to be worked into your wardrobe in a whole new way. Test it out and use your recycled shawl to transition between the seasons—I love the winter-to-spring look of a bold print dress, green army jacket and motorcycle boots with leggings and a scarf to keep you warm. See your clothes with fresh eyes! xoRZ
