Red, White and New

by The Zoe Report

As fashion editors it is our job to play favorites, and every season without fail Marc Jacobs ranks high on our list. This spring was no different thanks to the eponymous label’s selection of Edie Sedgwick-approved ensembles that walked down the runway. In honor of Presidents’ Day, we’re giving primary focus to MJ’s Pieced Roundneck Striped Dress, a vision column number colored in an oh-so-patriotic red and white palette.

Though every bit as ‘60s-chic as the rest of the show, this long-sleeve maxi simultaneously manages to feel modern too. Featuring a bold graphic motif of multi-directional curved stripes, it needn’t be styled with over-the-top accessories to create a memorable look—the dress is a big enough statement in itself. As for what to rock the backless number with, we envision mesh pumps, a glitter clutch and prominent brows (taking another catwalk cue!) for an applause-worthy result.
