When Saint Laurent Comes Marching In

You could feel the weight of the moment in the air as Hedi Slimane’s debut collection for Saint Laurent came down the catwalk this past September. Leaving not a seat in the Grand Palais disappointed, the head-turning series captured a luxurious glam-rock aesthetic—very Rachel Zoe-reminiscent, we might add—that did the French fashion house proud.

Painting the picture of a woman fit to be Keith Richards’ muse, Saint Laurent’s spring assortment embraced skinny pants, little sequin jackets and maxi dresses aplenty. Of course, prominence was placed on frills as well, so exaggerated blouse bows, wide-brimmed fedoras and tassel necklaces were not in short supply. Filtering into high-end retailers and Saint Laurent locations now, the collection is destined to fly off the racks, so we suggest wasting no time to get your paws on a piece!
