Target’s New Budget-Friendly Line Makes Style Accessible For All

One of the things—if not the thing—we love about shopping at Target is knowing we’re not going to break the bank, even when it comes to picking up stylish wardrobe staples. The retailer has been a stylists’ and insiders’ secret for some time now (not to mention a go-to for women who love a good steal), and now it’s got big plans to step up its looks-for-less game with the launch of Universal Thread. The label will be available February 4 in-store and online (with pre-order available January 21), offering dozens of trend-driven pieces—including denim, outerwear, jumpsuits, footwear, jewelry and more—at less than $40. And in addition to making things more affordable for a wide variety of women, the new line’s sizing runs from 00 to 26W, which makes it even more accessible. In anticipation of Universal Thread’s launch date, we’ve taken the liberty of picking out a few things we can’t wait to get our hands on, from a military jacket we’ll want to wear all spring to wide-legged jeans that have the perfect amount of vintage flair.
