Burberry Announces Riccardo Tisci As New Chief Creative Officer

by The Zoe Report

The famed British fashion house (responsible for giving us trench coats, pushing the frontiers of technology in fashion and conceiving the controversial Burberry plaid) has just announced its new Chief Creative Officer. Riccardo Tisci, who previously catapulted the house of Givenchy to mainstream fame over his decade-long span as Creative Director. His designs are imbued with dark, subversive and often religious references, and have been thoroughly championed by industry authorities and celebrities like Kanye West (his wife Kim Kardashian-West wore one of Tisci’s designs for their wedding). Tisci will bring his disruptive sensibility to the highly sought after position and we can’t wait to see his riffs on the British brand’s DNA. What can you expect? A lot more Burberry on the red carpet, more diversity in their campaigns and some shiny new cult It bags. Here’s to kicking off the month with some exciting fashion news!
