What Going To A Gucci Fashion Show Is Actually Like

by Nicky Deam

There’s no question that Gucci is one of the coolest labels in fashion right now, due in huge part to creative director Alessandro Michele’s vision and the merry band of celebrities and It girls who obsess over his designs. Consequently his fashion show, which kicks off Milan Fashion Week, is a hot ticket. Naturally Erica Pelosini, stylist, editor, jet-setter and Angeleno, was in attendance. Follow along with her here.

"Off to Milan with my dog, Cashmere. We're ready for Gucci!"

"This is my Milanese home away home away from home—the historic Bulgari Hotel. It boasts a botanical garden, plenty of history and has even hosted the Milanese culinary festival Epicurea."

"The invite, which was designed to look like a record, promises cool performances, which always adds to the impact of a fashion show. My look obviously involves some of my favorite Gucci items!"

"I layered my printed Gucci sweater over a pussybow blouse and high-waisted, wide-leg trousers. White accessories and oversized sunglasses add to the spring-ready vibe."

"Here is a look backstage at all 120 of the looks that walked the runway this season. That's an insane amount, most shows average between 30-45 looks."

"The collection included both menswear and womenswear, which is increasingly a fashion show trend. I love these fun and floral looks on the Gucci boys."

"There was such a great variety of looks, I already have my eye on a few of the bags!"
