Team Zoe’s Tax-Refund Wish List

While most of the country dreads the approach of tax day, sometimes the anxiety is unwarranted. If you’re lucky enough to get a refund after a year of hard work, April 15 quickly goes from a bad day to a reason to finally indulge in that suede Chloe satchel you’ve been lusting after. (Or maybe that’s just us?) Here at the Rachel Zoe offices, we regard the tax return as an excuse to splurge. While there is an argument for being responsible with the funds, we also think there’s an argument for getting a spa treatment or a luxe fringe jacket. Click through to see the pieces Team Zoe is buying should our accountants give us some good news. Here’s hoping!

Kristi Mikesky

Fashion & Beauty Editor

“When it comes to splurging, I’m partial to handbags. Rather than saving my tax return (like a responsible adult), I’m treating myself to Chloe's Faye shoulder bag—I have never laid eyes on an accessory I’ve needed more.”

Lindsay Pogemiller

Stylist

"My tax refund is going straight in to the hands of a masseuse! What better way to spend hard-earned money than on a full day of rest and relaxation?"

Tyler Piluzza

Content Strategy Manager

"There is nothing better than cruising the boardwalk at sunrise in search of an early morning surf. Spending my tax return on something that gives me a simple pleasure is a double win in my book."

Mel Chalian

Executive Assistant

"This is the year I will pull the trigger and finally start an art collection. There is nothing I covet more than an original Damien Hirst painting, specifically his work from the kaleidoscope series. Even though I would only be able to afford a pocket-size print, I would do anything to have his work hanging in my apartment."

Jordan Silver

Marketing Manager

"I love these because they are so perfectly impractical and are such a fun pop of color for summer."

Shannon Nash

Fashion & Beauty Editor

"I wear a watch every day, so I think it's the most important accessory to invest in. Plus, a classic Chanel timepiece elevates everything from your work wardrobe to black tie to jeans and a T-shirt."

Megan Gustashaw

Editorial Director

"I'll be buying plane tickets to Kauai for July 4 and this Eres bikini to take with!"

Jennifer Ash

Accessories Editor

"I've been on the hunt for an opal piece I can wear every day, and I just love WWAKE's unique and delicate take on the trend."

Sari Anne Tuschman

Editor-at-Large

"I am in the market for a fantastic fringe jacket, and this leather number from LA-label THEPERFEXT speaks to me."

Christian David

Art Director

"It's hard for me to commit to furniture, but I can’t seem to shake this Eames coffee table. It's time for me to take the plunge."

Stephanie Montes

Beauty Editor

“I love a good statement necklace. An investment piece that instantly pulls together your entire outfit is worth every penny.”

Nicky Deam

Fashion Director

"Minimal effort, maximum impact: This dress is cool, flattering and unlike anything I own."

Jaclyn Decell

Community Manager

"I'm finally going to click checkout on my ultimate dream bag—the style is timeless, but the suede and tassel feel especially on trend this season."
