The Man Who Hacked Pippa Middleton’s Photos Has Been Arrested

Celebrity account hacks are commonplace, but less so is the identification and condemnation of their culprits. Proving that you don’t mess with royalty, the person responsible for hijacking Pippa Middleton’s iCloud account was arrested today in Northamptonshire, England. Currently unidentified, the 35-year-old man stole more than 3,000 photos and attempted to sell them to The Sun for upwards of $70,000. But the shady move backfired when the U.K. paper declined to purchase the pics, and instead notified Middleton. (Insert: A mini wave in celebration of moral journalism!) While the punishment he faces remains unclear, we hope this will set a precedent and prevent personal tech compromises in the future. Until then, let’s collectively vow to not partake in nude pics, yeah?
