How Italian Jet-Setter Marta Pozzan Channels West Coast Style With Summer’s Best Frames

During summer, it’s by way of accessorizing. “I love the fact that I can wear lighter fabrics in the summer and layer less so I can play more with accessories like cute little colorful purses and funky sunglasses,” she says.

To liven up a simple but timeless look — an off-the-shoulder blouse and a great pair of jeans — Pozzan opts for a pair of Miu Miu sunglasses with reflective, scalloped-edge lenses and an aviator frame.

“When the outfit is relatively simple I like to step it up with fun shades, like this Miu Miu pair,” she says. “Colored sunglasses always make your look more vibrant and fun.”

As an international jet-setter, her summer plans usually include a lot of travel. This year’s itinerary includes stops in Sardinia and Paris for an even mix of work and play. In prep for these trips, Pozzan swears by outfit planning around a key accessory. “I’m going to travel quite a bit,” she says, “and I’ll for sure be bringing big black sunglasses, lots of fun sandals, and summer dresses.”

Her pick to fit the bill? These oversized square Burberry frames. Not only do they make the ideal travel companion, she says, but they also pair effortlessly with any look — trendy or timeless.

“These are bold and unique,” she says. “They remind me of a style that all the old Hollywood actresses used to wear. Wearing bold sunglasses is such a statement for me and it gives me confidence — it really completes my outfits.” And there’s truly no better accessory than that.
