This Is How Much Caffeine You’re Actually Getting In Your Coffee

If you’re in need of a major caffeine fix, check this out first. You may not be getting all the caffeine you need to get that morning or midday boost. According to the Center For Science In The Public Interest, caffeine amounts in your coffee vary per ounce depending on the chain that you’re getting your coffee from (gasp!). Their study shows that a Starbucks Venti Blonde Roast (20 oz.) has 475 mg of caffeine, compared to a Dunkin’ Donuts large (20 oz.) coffee with a turbo shot, which only has 398 mg of caffeine. And that’s with an extra shot! Take a look at the chart within the article and check for your fave caffeinated beverage—and see if you’re not more than a little stunned by the findings.

Next time you’re looking for that after-lunch pick-me-up, remember where you’re getting–literally–the most bang for your buck.
