6 Healthy Snacks To Make For Work This Week

by The Zoe Report

We recently read a book purporting that the French don’t snack and to that we say, “good for them.” We most definitely do eat between meals, especially when it’s 4pm and we’re stuck at our desks, waiting out the last few hours of the work day. Rather than rely on gummy bears and other assorted, sugar-filled processed treats to survive, we suggest—if you similarly sneak treats during the day—that you whip up your own homemade snacks to pack for work. Here, six recipes that are easy to make, (relatively) healthy and delicious.

Chocolate Matcha Butter Cups

Okay, so these aren't exactly kale, but it is better to nosh on these chocolate treats than, say, actual peanut butter cups. Ingredients include matcha powder, dark chocolate, coconut butter, coconut oil, sea salt, cacao nibs and almond powder.

Homemade Goldfish Crackers

We know you're not five-years old, but if you're anything like us, you turn into a toddler sometime between 3pm and 5pm every day. Yes, you'd be better off eating carrot sticks with hummus, but sometimes you just want the comforts of a cracker. These homemade versions won't serve up your daily dose of veggies, but they're healthier than the store-bought version and just as munchable.

Almond Butter Brown Rice Crispy Treats

These childhood throwbacks are a lot healthier than they look, as they're packed with omega-rich hemp seeds and almonds. We're considering bringing them for the next office birthday in lieu of cupcakes—fair warning, sugar addicts!
