Irina Shayk’s Airport Uniform Is The Comfiest — & Chicest — Way To Fly

Introducing a new go-to airport look that is guaranteed to never let you down: striped pajamas (this is not a drill). Lately, Irina Shayk's travel style has been defined by a certain, not-so-subtle outfit formula that keeps her comfortable and stylish at the same time. The model's striped loungewear-inspired separates are the fail-proof way to dress for a flight.

Shayk made her arrival at Milan Fashion Week on Weds. just in time to walk in the Max Mara Fall 2019 show. Although her first appearance on the catwalk wasn't until the following day, the model hopped off the plane seemingly ready for the runway.

She went with head-to-toe pinstripes in what could have been either a jumpsuit or separates. Shayk buttoned the top all the way up to her neck and kept the belt tied tidily around her waist. She draped a scarf over her chic Burberry TB Bag (every girl's travel hack) and wore socks that matched her bright-red booties because who would want to be on a flight with bare feet?

The model's striped ensemble walked the line between cozy pajamas and bold separates. Whatever look she was actually going for, Shayk's idea of a travel outfit is pretty much genius. Maybe that's why she keeps repeating it, after all.

Before her latest, the Russian supermodel tried almost the same look while traveling from New York to the Cannes Film Festival in May 2018. Shayk kept it casual with pajama-inspired striped trousers from The Kooples that featured a drawstring waist. Her loose-fitting button-up top matched and even had double flap pockets like the cozies you have at home.

Around this time, the silk pajama set trend was fast approaching the fashion world and seeping into all the fashion girls' street styles — Gigi Hadid, Sarah Jessica Parker, Hailey Baldwin, and Olivia Palermo, to name a few.

And there's seriously no more appropriate place to sport a loungewear-inspired set than on a plane. Your airport looks are allowed to be loose, flowy, and cozy, and Shayk's striped outfit will help you achieve that without making you look sloppy.
