Priyanka Chopra Pulled This Look Straight From The Runway & Made It So Wearable

Sometimes even ready-to-wear looks too couture to incorporate into an everyday wardrobe. If you had seen Priyanka Chopra's sheer polka dot dress on the runway, for instance, you might have immediately cast it off as unwearable. Thanks to her impeccable taste in fashion (and her stylist's knack for curating a darn good street style look), this bold outfit lives beyond just the catwalk.

The newly married 36-year-old ran around New York on Tues. to promote her latest project, a YouTube Special called If I Could Tell You Just One Thing. She flaunted look after glorious look, first in a striking red dress on the set of The View, then in snake-print pants and a long metallic jacket afterward.

When it came time for her appearance on Watch What Happens Live, the actor changed into her best look of the day: a sheer black-and-white polka-dot number that you likely thought was a dress but was actually separates.

Chopra's outfit originally debuted on the Philosophy Di Lorenzo Serafini Fall 2018 runway. It was one of a series of pieces that helped spark the currently emerging "naked dress" trend. The sheer blouse and skirt were styled sans undergarments on the runway, which didn't automatically translate into the easiest of street style looks.

So, the Quantico actor threw the slinky see-through set — consisting of a ruffle-neck blouse and matching flouncy tiered skirt — over a bodysuit with a sleek sweetheart neckline. She ditched the rose-clad bowtie and draped a dangly necklace by Chopard around her neck instead. And as opposed to the edgy booties the model wore, Chopra opted for satin bow-back Christian Louboutin pumps.

It's no wonder the actor always looks this good. The mastermind behind her outfits is the same woman who dresses the ultimate street style queen, Gigi Hadid. Mimi Cuttrell's client roster includes Sara Sampaio, Ariana Grande, Bella Hadid, and more.

As this latest ensemble has proven, you don't have to go full naked to try out the naked trend. Sheer is all the rage, so get yourself a versatile bodysuit à la Chopra and sport that see-through dress (and ruffles ... and polka dots ... all at the same time) without reserve.
