The Zoe Report

Letter From Rachel Zoe: March 2014

Starting the month with the Academy Awards makes March a whirlwind from the get-go. My studio has been moving at a hundred miles an hour preparing for this weekend filling our office with the most gorgeous embellished gowns, sky high heels and all the accessories a girl would possibly need for the red carpet. People always ask me what I would wear if I won an Oscar. I think the look would have to be high fashion and unique, I would go outside of the box and take a chance.

Looking forward, March brings us daylight savings time on March 9th, as well as the arrival of spring break – which I haven’t enjoyed since college! Now that I’m a parent and my son Skyler is in school, this will be the first year we take a proper spring break vacation. Since I have a newborn (Kaius is two months old!), we’ll avoid flying this year and enjoy some of the beautiful places you can drive to in California such as Palm Springs or Laguna Beach. If you’re planning a getaway, be sure to dig deep into your closet and wear all those resort pieces you’ve been saving. There’s no time like the present to start being glamorous.

Glamour is the theme of the month, especially since my new book Living In Style will be released on March 25th (preorder the book here). The pages are full of all my favorite inspirations, travel destinations, home decor advice, beauty products and fashion. Friends and mentors like Diane Von Furstenberg, Christopher Bailey, Francisco Costa, Prabal Gurung and Brian Atwood have contributed to the book with their incredible insights. If you are planning a glamorous event, a weekend getaway or going spring shopping, be sure to share your photos with us on Instagram – use the hashtag #LivingInStyle.

With Love,

Rachel Zoe
