Mani Idea: Matte French Manicure
Mani Idea: Red Racing Stripes
Prabal Gurung collaborated with Sally Hansen again this season to create three custom nail laquers, in stores this September. For the runway show manicurist Jin Soon Choi started with two coats of Himalaya, an opaque nude, and finished with an off-center stripe in Rupee Red, a burgundy color. Photo: Courtesy of Sally Hansen
Mani Idea: Red And Black
Inspired by the Louboutin shoes on Mathieu Mirano's fall runway Essie manicurist Miss Pop created an edgy two-tone manicure using two coats of Bordeaux on the right side of the nail (covering about a quarter of the nail) followed by two coats of Licorice to fill in the remaining surface. Mani Idea: Half Moon With Nude
The gold-painted brows at Alexandre Herchcovitch were ultra-pretty but Zoya's half moon mani also caught our eye. The look started with two coats of Cho or Chantal (depending on skin tone) followed by Jane or Tasha for a dewy look. A small half-circle shape in a blood red shade called Sasha completed the look. Mani Idea: Negative Space
At Noon by Noor, Zoya whipped up another modern take on the half moon using a shimmery oxblood shade called Norra and a glossy topcoat. The cuticle area was left completely bare for a cool play on negative space. Photo: Courtesy of Zoya
