In recent weeks, Kim Kardashian has been even less shy than usual about showing a little skin: sheer mesh tops sans bra, lacy innerwear as outwear, and how could we forget that barely-there white swimsuit she modeled in Mexico? But it’s not the way she covered — or uncovered, as the case may be — her body that captured attention at Balenciaga’s runway show in Paris yesterday. It was actually Kim’s makeup-free face that had everyone buzzing.
The admitted contouring fan stepped into the Paris Event Space in an off-the-shoulder trench and boots by the label, and allegedly nothing but moisturizer on her mug. Kim shared a photo of her look on Instagram and her makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic backed up her bare-faced claim by posting his own pic with the caption “No makeup today at @balenciaga,” adding that she was “Moisturized #ByMario.”
Kim’s nude face follows in the footsteps of Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez, and Gisele Bundchen who bared their own in public (or at least on Instagram) recently. While we suspect the genetically blessed brunette had a little bit of help making the most of the makeup-free look (eyelash extensions perhaps? expertly groomed brows?), we’re digging this minimalist trend on the star.
