Model, revered stylist, successful entrepreneur: Linda Rodin does it all while maintaining well-deserved style icon status (her signature coif alone deserves a dedicated spot in the beauty hall of fame). And her accolades don’t stop there. She’s also credited with single handedly putting face oil on the map via the inaugural potion (Olio Lusso forever!) from her eponymous product line, Rodin.
We asked the skincare superstar to share her less-is-more hero kit, the secret to silver hair upkeep and — wait for it — her plans to penetrate the lipstick market!
Rule #1: Stick To Basics
"My beauty M.O. in 3 words: Rodin Olio Lusso."

Rule #2: Sun Protection Is Key
"Sunblock is not billed as "anti-aging" but any sun damage prevention is in fact anti-aging."
Rule #3: Do Some Shady Business
"My go-to lipstick shade is the one I'm developing now. It will be a combination of the various shades I use to achieve the ideal hot pink."

Rule #4: Know What Works For You
"My hero kit includes my own face, body and hair oils, in addition to the Crema hand cream and, of course, my lip balm. They're really all I need."
Rule #5: Play With Perfume...
"Even before I developed my own scents, I was a very loyal perfume user. For the last 50 years -- since I was about 15 -- I used only 4 or 5 fragrances: Le De Givenchy, L'Heure Blue by Guerlain, Joy by Jean Patou, Chanel’s Cuir De Russie and Tabu when I was a teenager."
Rule #6: ...And Secure A Signature Scent
"I always need my Rodin perfume – it makes me smell and feel wonderful."
Rule #7: Stay True To Yourself (And Don't Be Afraid To Splurge)
"As far as beauty trends go, I don't think I was ever very into them. I don't buy too many products and don't partake in too many treatments, I only splurge on my own products. I do, however, treat myself to personal manicures by Jackie Padilla -- they last for weeks -- and once a month, a wonderful massage by Holly Haupt."

Rule 8: Care For Your Coif
"Clairol Shimmer Lights makes my hair silvery and silky. The shampoo and conditioner are wonderful, I’ve been using them for 10 years now."
Rule #9: Don't Be Afraid Of Color
"I love all Jin Soon colors. But right now I’m wearing an Essie shade that looks like a fresh, beautiful geranium petal."
Rule #10: Be Aware Of Your Beauty Icons
"For inspiration, I look to Frida Kahlo, Audrey Hepburn, Georgia O'Keeffe and my mother – all women who feel good in their own skin.”
