Organic Face Masks That Work Wonders (We Tried Them!)

by Jennifer Ash

Cooler winter months tend to call for finicky skin conditions, which can result in the passing up of new products–why risk covering your complexion with a foreign cream or treatment just to risk breakouts and redness?

Here at TZR HQ, we researched (and tested) four organic face masks packed with Planet Earth’s most potent superfoods and other au naturel ingredients that are so safe, you can literally eat some of them–although we don’t recommend it! From a DIY recipe you can make at home to mask so fresh, it has to be refrigerated at all times, we’ve officially discovered a new batch of skincare staples that belong in your beauty arsenal year round.

Organic Face Masks That Work Wonders (We Tried Them!)

Cacao-Based Beautifier

“My skin is sensitive and prone to acne and scarring. I’m always hesitant to use new face products but since this raw Cacao-based one is organic I felt comfortable trying it out. It goes on really thin but thickens and dries up pretty quickly. It also has an exfoliating element to it, which I love. I left the mask on for the recommended 10 minutes and afterwards my skin felt super soft and refreshed” – Christian David, Graphic Designer.

Supercharged Superfoods

“This mask is chock-full of superfoods, so you know it has to be good. If you crave glowing hydrated skin, I definitely recommend this product. It is super thin like a serum and doesn’t contain any exfoliant, which makes it perfect for dry sensitive skin” – Jordan Silver, Marketing Manager.

Brighten With Blueberries

“I have oily skin, which is why I prefer oil-free treatments that exfoliate and cleanse. This blueberry-packed mask was so gentle and my complexion was instantly brighter and matte without over-drying. Also, this formula is so fresh it has to be refrigerated at all times. I kind of love that” – Jennifer Ash, Editorial Assistant.

DIY Treatment

“I have sensitive acne-prone skin which is basically the worst combo ever. My facialist recommended that I try whipping up a face mask with an egg white and a teaspoon of honey and I've been using it a few times a week ever since. This DIY treatment has made a visible difference by clearing breakouts and making my skin feel smoother” – Jaclyn Decell, Community Manager.
