Now that we know it’s unlikely Prince William will be Harry’s best man, here’s another shocker for you: Kate Middleton will probably not play a significant role in Meghan Markle’s upcoming nuptials. However, the reason behind her doubtful attendance at even the bridal party is because “the Duchess of Cambridge barely knows Meghan,” royal expert Marlene Koenig explained. “For another, she is the future queen consort when William becomes king after his father and would unlikely be an attending person to another royal bride.”
Recall sister Pippa’s wedding when Kate served as neither bridesmaid or maid of honor, which are roles generally reserved for single women. “She was not a matron of honor even at her sister’s wedding,” Marlene said, referring to the only title the duchess could’ve possibly held should she have chosen to participate in the wedding party.
