Okay, Olivia Wilde Made Lunching Cool Again In This Edgy-But-Classy Outfit
Leave it to Chanel to bring “ladies who lunch” to new heights with its third annual event, yesterday’s Through Her Lens: The Tribeca Chanel Women’s Filmmaker Program Luncheon at Locanda Verde in New York City. Not only were the women gathered dressed impeccably (we expect nothing less), they were also all heavyweights in their field, representing some of the most promising talent, brains and ideas in the film industry. Top actors, directors, writers, producers and more gathered to talk, eat, laugh, inspire one another and celebrate the emerging female filmmakers selected for the program. While we wish we could have been a fly on the wall to hear the conversations had at the tables among these powerhouse women, we will simply have to settle for ogling their gorgeous ensembles. Here, a few of our faves.
Elizabeth Olsen
Elizabeth Olsen can do no wrong in our books, but this black-and-gold wool-knit coat from Chanel’s Paris-Cosmopolite 2016/17 collection paired with cropped pants and white pumps has us scouring our closets for something similar to emulate this impeccable model-off-duty look.
Dakota Fanning
This is schoolgirl chic done right, courtesy of Dakota Fanning, who punctuated her black, white and blue glitter tweed dress from the Fall/Winter 2017/18 Ready-to-Wear collection with a hip pair of specs.
Zosia Mamet
Shoshanna (aka Zosia Mamet) manages to make tweed edgy in her embroidered jacket and dress from the Paris-Cosmopolite 2016/17 collection.
Olivia Wilde
Messy bun? Check. Cropped white tee from the xKarla collection? Check. Chanel tweed jacket and skirt with gold and silver metallic specs? Check. Olivia Wilde nails lunchtime cool.
Rebecca Dayan
Rebecca Dayan is a vision in this head-to-toe coral number from Chanel's Fall/Winter 2017/18 Ready-to-Wear collection.
Rebecca Hall
Rebecca Hall keeps things classically cool via a long black-and-navy tweed coat with gorgeous shoulder detailing and a light gray flannel pant that feels like a fall must.
