The CFDA in collaboration with Neiman Marcus and Refinery29 honored our Editor-in-Chief’s contributions to fashion last night as part of the CFDA Spotlight Series at West Hollywood restaurant Terrine. The intimate gathering of friends, mentors and designers celebrated over Champagne, a four-course meal and an impromptu a-cappella perfomance by Caroline Vreeland. Here are a few of the best snaps from the evening.
The Cocktail Reception
Dressed in a jumpsuit by the evening's honoree, Erica Pelosini arrives at the event.
The evening was a virtual who's who of the fashion industry: Elder Statesman designer Greg Chait, the CFDA's Steven Kolb, jewelry designer Jen Meyer and Neiman Marcus' Ken Downing pose for a pic at the cocktail reception.
Fellow LA designers-slash-styists Meritt Elliott and Emily Current went casual for the evening's festivities, donning the wardrobe essential they have built their careers on—denim.
One of the cohosts of the evening, Refinery 29 Editor-in-Chief Christene Barberich, rocked a flowy, printed maxi dress, which perfectly complemented Rachel's fringed frock from her collection.
Dinner On The Patio
The picturesque evening featured long tables set under a massive tree and hanging lights on the restaurant's patio.
Guests sat down to place settings featuring handwritten menus outlining the four-course dinner. They also left with gifts from Neiman Marcus, Rachel Zoe and Refinery29.
It Girls: musician Lykke Li, actress Grace Gummer, Christine Barberich and model-designer Tori Praver gather at one of the dinner tables.
Christine Barberich and Ken Downing took a minute to speak about the lady of the night, highlighting her illustrious styling and design career.
Rachel surrounded by a few of her close friends who came to support her: Kelly Sawyer, Rebecca Dane, Soleil Moon Frye and Shiva Rose.
Dressed in simply chic neutrals, Paula Goldstein, Caroline Vreeland and Shea Marie chat between courses. Vreeland surprised the gathered crowd by delivering an impromptu a-capella performance.
Actress Sara Foster steals a quick hug before dessert.
