What fashion girl could forget Amal Clooney's iconic wedding dress? The Oscar de la Renta masterpiece earned its place in fashion history as the designer's last bridal gown before he passed away three years ago. So it's only fitting that the ivory-beaded tulle beauty found its way to an exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, where it'll be on display for every wandering eye lucky enough to make a trip down South to see it.
Titled The Glamour and Romance of Oscar de la Renta, the retrospective will open to the public Sunday and feature nearly 70 ensembles from the late designer's archives, including loans from top clients like Beyoncé herself. Style legend André Leon Talley appropriately curated the selection, and he described the team being "very anxious" to receive Amal's bridal addition. "We wanted it [in San Francisco last year], but Mrs. Clooney reached me through her assistant to say she felt it was too early to have her dress in an exhibit after she married [George]," he told WWD. Now if only we could book a quick flight to H-Town.
