Lilly Pulitzer’s Pride Capsule Supports The It Gets Better Project
The colorful brand debuts a new print for Pride Month, too.
The whimsical resort label known for its bright hues and splashy signature prints is committed to making the world a sunnier place — in more ways than one. In honor of Pride Month, Lilly Pulitzer is donating $25,000 to the It Gets Better Project to further their mission to uplift, empower, and connect LGBTQ+ youth around the world. In the newest installment of the brand’s Products with Purpose capsule series, Lilly Pulitzer has unveiled Lilly’s Pride Palette, a two-piece collection comprised of essential summer styles you’ll be wearing long after the season ends.
Check out the inspiration behind the collection below, then read up on how Lilly Pulitzer is shining a light on folks within the LGBTQ+ community in its Sunshine Spotlight series here.
Lilly’s Pride Palette
Inspired by the enduring legacy of artist and activist Gilbert Baker’s 1978 rainbow flag, Lilly’s Pride Palette features hand-painted rainbows in the cheerful, head-turning hues for which the brand is known. Wherever you see the print in the capsule collection, you’ll find the “Lilly Loves Love” mantra, too, written in bubbly pink script.
The Capsule Collection
The Lilly’s Pride Palette includes two key summer staples: a relaxed-fit cotton terry sweatshirt (bound to be your new off-duty favorite) and a white baseball hat. In addition to the rainbows, the “Lilly Loves Love” motif winds its way around the sweatshirt’s neckline and is embroidered across the hat’s adjustable strap, too. Both pieces feel like timeless additions to anyone’s wardrobe, whether you gravitate toward classic polish or more laid-back looks.
