Like most of you, we live for finding the chicest looks for less. Our go-to retailers for snagging such pieces include Zara, Topshop and ASOS—but now that downtown Los Angeles has scored a new outpost for COS, we’ve got a feeling the stylish Swedish brand might be shooting to the top of our list. Think of COS as the older, more mature sister to H&M, with minimalist basics that offer just enough edge to be fashion forward and just enough polish to be perfectly work appropriate. And even though the affordable brand might have only started opening more storefronts in the US, fashion insiders have been fans for a while, as evidenced by the cool crowd that attended Thursday night’s opening bash. Stylists Annina Mislin and Sissy Sainte-Marie and up-and-coming actress Medalion Rahmi were a few of the fashionable folks who showed up to welcome COS to the neighborhood.
