When it comes to dream careers, Jane Keltner de Valle has arguably one of the best fashion jobs on the planet as the Fashion News Director at Glamour. In her NYC-based role, she spends her time on editorial shoots, meeting with of-the-moment designers and snapping pictures of the hottest new collections from top fashion houses like Chanel. And this isn’t her first awesome job, either: Her impressive resume includes previous stints at Teen Vogue, Elle, W and WWD. (Yeah, we kind of want to be her too.) We were lucky enough to get an inside peek into her hectic and fabulous life when she documented her day for us. Here, an iPhone photo diary of 24 hours walking in Keltner de Valle’s designer shoes.

Morning Routine
"My son Roman wakes up at 6 a.m., so we have a full morning together before I leave for work. Today we snuck in a breakfast date at Almondine, my favorite neighborhood bakery."

"On set for an October issue shoot at 9 a.m., so I'm going for practical chic: a white Adam Lippes t-shirt, khaki suede Jason Wu skirt, Gianvito Rossi sandals (with a comfortable midi heel) and an oversize Roger Vivier tote that fits my entire life in it."

Lunch Break
"Post shoot, I head straight to Odeon for lunch with tres jolie Lola Rykiel (pictured here), the Public Relations Director for Sonia Rykiel—now I'm suddenly craving all things striped!"
Office Essentials
"Back at the office, and there is lots to catch up on! Among my office essentials are my venti green iced tea, pens and highlighters for editing and—of course—my computer. These Versace Medusa sunglasses just arrived at my desk, and I couldn’t resist giving them a test run."
Accessory Of The Day
"Quick coffee in the Condé Nast cafeteria with the designers behind the wildly popular M2Malletier bags, who are in town from Barcelona. This ostrich one perfectly matches my skirt. Try but fail to make a quick getaway with it."
Power Meeting
"September-issue meeting with our Editor-in-Chief, Cindi Leive. (And look three of the day! Changed into a white Lela Rose dress and Louboutin lace-up flats for dinner this evening.)"
Chanel Pit Stop
"Quick trip uptown to preview the Chanel resort collection."
Dinner Date
"Dinner with my good friend (and talented designer) Thakoon at Little Park. We discuss a top secret project on the horizon and his hunt for a new apartment—I'm trying to convince him to move to Brooklyn!"
Bedtime Routine
"Home for bed. I peek in on Roman, then it's time for my evening beauty ritual: Cetaphil face wash, Bioderma Crealine, La Roche Posay toleriane face cream and Glossier rose-water spray. Sweet dreams!"
