While some people find organizing and dusting and general picking up cathartic and head-clearing, we’d rather be doing almost anything else. That’s not to say we enjoy messiness, however. No, we’d simply like our living spaces to be clean and tidy without doing any actual work. Since we don’t have an army of adorable mice to do our bidding (le sigh) we’re always on the hunt for tips to make our lives easier and our homes cleaner. We caught up with Jessica Alba for the launch of her new line of home cleaners for The Honest Company, and the busy CEO, actress and mom shared her best cleaning hacks.
Clean Sweep
"Couple Honest wipes with our stain remover to erase evidence of spills. Lunch soup splattered or had a coffee catastrophe? Dab away—wipes hold up to this job far better than tissues or paper towels. After dabbing the stain, I use a small spritz of Honest Stain Remover and let it sit for a couple minutes while it works its magic. Then I toss it in the wash and I'm good to go."
"When I'm pressed for time, I leave our Toilet Cleaner sitting overnight—to keep fighting hard water stains long after I've stopped cleaning for the day."
"Spend ten minutes tidying up at the end of each day. This was golden advice as I've found that my spaces stay cleaner longer, even with two kids. Although it's only ten minutes, this helps prevent big messes from piling up and makes cleaning with a busy schedule more manageable."
