If You’ve Had Your Fill Of The Sbagliato, Try This Negroni Riff Next

Thanks to Emma D'Arcy, the Negroni Sbagliato has exploded in popularity. However, there are many more versions to try than this “broken” one, which uses sparkling wine in place of the classic gin. Click through to find several riffs on the Negroni equally worth trying, ahead.

To make the Montenegroni, pour 2 ounces Amaro Montenegro, 1 ounce sweet vermouth, and 1 ounce gin into a tumbler. Fill with ice, add 2 drops of Angostura bitters, and stir until well-chilled. Garnish with an expressed orange twist.Courtesy of Amaro Montenegro
The Madero cocktail at Aldama (by Christopher Reyes, partner of Aldama) calls for 1 ounce each of Cocchi Americano, Amaro Nonino, and Ilegal Reposado Mezcal, plus 5 dashes balsamic blanco. To make the Strawberry Covered Chocolate Negroni by Gelo Honrade at Osamil, gather 3/4 ounce Campari-infused strawberry, 3/4 ounce Cinzano 1757 Rosso vermouth, 1 1/2 ounces gin, 2 dashes strawberry tincture, and 2 dashes Aztec chocolate bitters. Create the Teremana’s Jabroni using 1 ounce Teremana Blanco or Reposado, 1 ounce Campari, 3/4 ounce sweet vermouth, and 1/4 ounce banana liqueur. Add all ingredients into a glass and stir; strain into a rocks glass and garnish with dried banana chips.Courtesy of Teremana Tequila
For a Lillet Negroni Spritz, you’ll need 1 3/4 parts Lillet Blanc, 1 1/2 parts Plymouth Gin, 1/2 part bitter orange cordial or aperitif, 2 parts tonic water, and 3 parts prosecco. Build over ice in a large wine glass, garnish with an orange wheel, and enjoy!Courtesy of Lillet
This White Negroni from Gin Lane Bar at Barr Hill’s Distillery requires 1 1/2 ounces Barr Hill Gin, 3/4 ounce blanc vermouth, and 3/4 ounce Suze (French bitters). Love an espresso martini? Try this Coffee Negroni for an Italian twist. To make it, combine equal parts Mr Black, gin, and Campari in a glass. Add ice and stir. Garnish with an orange wedge and serve.Courtesy of Mr Black Spirits
