Nobody does #couplegoals better than Barack and Michelle Obama. The President and First Lady recently celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary, and they just seem to be more in love than ever. So imagine our surprise when the Washington Post released a video of President Obama slipping off his wedding ring and placing it into his pocket before approaching a small crowd in Greensboro, North Carolina.
No, it’s not because he doesn’t want the world to know he’s married (anyone who isn’t already aware of this must be literally living under a rock). Instead, Barack is very protective of his most valued possession, i.e. the symbol of his love for Michelle. As leader of the free world, he obviously does a great deal of handshaking and simply wants to keep the band out of snatchers’ hands. It’s good to know that even with the presence of Secret Service agents, the President isn’t taking any chances with his precious wedding ring. Swoon.
