This NYC Tastemaker Counts On Walmart For Thoughtful, Affordable Gifts

Practicality may not be the most exciting theme to adhere to when you’re doing your holiday shopping, but it might help you choose the most meaningful gifts. For thoughtful holiday gifts and a little something for herself, NYC-based influencer Sarah Hamrick turns to Walmart.

“Meaningful gifts are always the best, in my opinion,” says Hamrick. “I like gifting products that are personal to show that I took the time to pick something out specifically for them.” This year, she’s excited to shop for friends who are getting married or moving into their own homes. “I’m excited to gift them home items to add a special touch to their space,” she says. And while Walmart has plenty of home decor and kitchen gadgets that are suitable for Hamrick’s close circle — candles, espresso machines, and robot vacuums — they also have plenty of stylish fashion upgrades for her own holiday wardrobe.

Hamrick describes her holiday style as classic with an edge. “I love neutral leather pieces and pieces with a sparkly detail, especially for the holidays,” she says. For a celebratory evening with friends, Hamrick styles a sleek slip dress with bold white boots. “I think this is the perfect holiday party look for any type of gathering,” she says.
